Janet has worked in the field of education and training for over 30 years. She is an accomplished K-12 teacher and presenter both nationally and internationally as well as a talented author of over 11 educational publications. Most recently, Janet has been providing professional development to individual schools and school districts across the country. She shares her passion of teaching with teachers, parents and students by providing practical strategies to increase student achievement. Janet has been described as a motivating, enthusiastic and fun presenter.

Janet spent 13 years in Australia teaching and consulting for The University of Melbourne and Deakin University as well as developing programs for each, such as, Bright Sparks, Engaging Classrooms, and Middle Years of Schooling. While in Australia, Janet also worked with the Department of Education assisting in the development and implementation of gifted and talented statewide policy. In addition, Janet was Vice President of the Victorian Association for Gifted and Talented Children. In 2006 Janet helped create a school for special needs children in Kuwait. Janet is a much sought-after presenter for state and national conferences because of her passion for teaching and learning and her practical ideas to engage all students in learning.
